Article 217 of Commercial Code

Any clause providing for the air carrier's exemption from liability or limiting it to less than the limits stipulated in Article 214 shall be void. 2 - Nevertheless, this nullity shall not extend to a clause providing for the carrier's exemption from liability or limiting it in the event of loss of or damage to the thing being carried owing to its nature or an inherent defect in it.
