Article 527 of Commercial Code

The possessor of an endorsable cheque shall be considered its lawful holder whenever he establishes his entitlement thereto through an uninterrupted series of endorsements, even if the last is an endorsement in blank. Cancelled endorsements shall in this respect be considered nonexistent. If an endorsement in blank is followed by another endorsement, the signatory to that endorsement shall be considered the person to whom the right to the cheque passed through the endorsement in blank.
