English translation
Criminal proceedings shall not be instituted for the offences stipulated in Article 237 of this Law if the injured party has not submitted his complaint to the Public Prosecution within four months from the date indicated on the cheque as its date of issue if it was drawn in Kuwait, and within six months if it was drawn outside Kuwait and is payable therein.

لا تقــام الدعــوى الجزائيــة عــن الجرائــم المنصــوص عليهــا في المادة 237 مــن هــذا القانون
إذا لم يتقــدم المجنــي عليــه بشــكواه إلى النيابــة العامــة خلال أربعــة أشــهر مــن التاريــخ
المــبين في الشــيك أنــه تاريــخ إصــداره إذا كان مســحوبا في الكويــت وخلال ســتة أشــهر
إذا كان مســحوبا خــارج الكويــت ومســتحق الوفــاء فيهــا.Ask about this article
