Article 238 of Kuwaiti Penal Code

Anyone who sells or mortgages immovable or movable property and deliberately conceals from the purchaser or mortgagee an essential document, forges a written certificate, or gives a false statement, intending thereby to mislead the purchaser or mortgagee into believing that he has acquired through the sale or mortgage rights more numerous or greater in value than the rights actually transferred to him, shall be punished by imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years and a fine not exceeding two hundred and twenty-five dinars, or by either of these two penalties.
