Article 18 of Companies Law

All partners shall share profits or losses in proportion to their interests in the capital, in accordance with the following rules: 1- If the company contract does not specify each partner's share of profits or losses, each partner's share thereof shall be in proportion to his interest in the capital. 2- If the company contract contains a condition stipulating that a partner is deprived of the company's profits or exempted from bearing its losses, that condition shall be void and the contract shall remain valid. 3- If the company contract specifies only the partner's share of profits, his share of losses shall equal his share of profits. The same shall apply if the contract specifies only the partner's share of losses. Any condition granting a partner the right to receive fixed interest on his interest in the company shall be void.
