Article 57 of Private Sector Labour Law

An employer employing no fewer than five workers, in accordance with the provisions of this Law, shall pay the entitlements of his workers into their accounts with local financial institutions. The Public Authority for Manpower may request a copy of the transfer statements sent to those financial institutions. A decision shall be issued by the Council of Ministers, upon submission by the Minister of Social Affairs and Labour and the Minister of Finance, specifying the financial institutions and the rules governing the treatment of these accounts in terms of expenses, commissions and regulatory procedures in this regard. Certain activities may, by decision of the Council of Ministers, be exempted from transferring expatriate workers' wages to local financial institutions.
