Article 59 of Private Sector Labour Law

A- No more than (10 percent) of the worker’s wage may be deducted in repayment of debts or loans owed to the employer, and the latter shall not charge any interest thereon. B- The wage due to the worker may not be attached, assigned or deducted from except within the limit of (25 percent) of the wage, for a maintenance debt, a debt for food or clothing, or other debts, including a debt owed to the employer. Where debts compete, the maintenance debt shall take priority over the other debts.
