Article 123 of Code of Civil Procedure

The costs of the action shall be assessed by an order upon a petition submitted by the judgment creditor to the presiding judge of the panel that delivered the judgment. This order shall be served on the party ordered to pay them. The lapse prescribed in Article (163) shall not apply to it. Each litigant may challenge the assessment of costs made by this order. The process server or the Registry, as the case may be, shall specify the day on which the challenge will be heard before the court in chambers, and the litigants shall be notified thereof three days before the specified day.
