Article 166 of Code of Civil Procedure

By exception to the general rules for instituting actions, the provisions of the following Articles may be followed through ordinary methods or electronic methods prescribed by a decision of the Minister of Justice, whenever the creditor's right is established in writing and is due for payment, and what he claims is a monetary debt of a specified amount, including or excluding its statutory interest. Those provisions must be followed if the holder of the right is a creditor under a commercial instrument and confines his recourse to the drawer, maker, acceptor or aval guarantor of any of them. If, however, he wishes to have recourse against persons other than these, he must follow the general rules for instituting an action. )1(
