Article 227 of Code of Civil Procedure

Any creditor whose debt is established and due for payment may attach movables or debts belonging to his debtor in the hands of third parties, even if they are deferred or conditional. If the attachment is not imposed upon a specific movable or debt, it shall cover all movables belonging to the attachment debtor in the hands of the garnishee, or debts arising thereafter in his favor owed by the garnishee, until the time of the declaration of indebtedness. The garnishee shall thereafter be obliged to declare his indebtedness in respect of additional property or credit balances accruing to the debtor, unless the attachment is lifted by the Enforcement Department. Attachment of the debtor's property in the hands of third parties shall be imposed upon the debtor's movables in the possession of his legal representative.
