Article 39 of Traffic Law

If the court convicts an accused of an offence relating to driving a motor vehicle, it may order withdrawal of the driving licence, the vehicle operating licence, its metal plate, or all of them, for a period not exceeding one year commencing on the day following the date of completion of execution of the penalty or enforcement by bodily coercion, or from the date of the judgment if accompanied by suspension of execution.
