Article 79 of Child Rights Law

Childhood protection centres shall take such of the following measures and procedures as they deem appropriate: 1 - Keeping the child within his family, with the parents being obliged to take the necessary steps to remove the imminent danger to him within specified time limits and subject to periodic monitoring by childhood protection centres. 2 - Keeping the child within his family while arranging methods of social intervention by the entity concerned with providing the necessary social, educational and health services to the child and his family and assisting it. - Keeping the child within his family while taking the necessary precautions to prevent all contact between him and persons who may cause him anything threatening his health or his physical or moral integrity. 4 - Recommending to the competent court that the child be placed temporarily in the child protection centre serving his residential area until the danger ceases, and the centre shall provide him with health, psychological and social treatment in accordance with the procedures prescribed in this Law. h - Recommending to the competent court that the necessary urgent measures be taken to place the child in one of the childhood protection centres serving his residential area for treatment and rehabilitation for the period necessary until the danger to him ceases, as well as treating and rehabilitating his relatives who caused the harm. 6 - Referring the matter, where appropriate, to the competent court to consider ordering the person responsible for the child to pay interim maintenance; the court's judgment in this respect shall be enforceable and an appeal against it shall not stay its enforcement. - In cases of imminent danger, the childhood protection centres serving the child's residential area shall take the necessary urgent measures to remove the child from the place where he is exposed to danger and transfer him to a safe place, including seeking police assistance where appropriate. Any act threatening the child's life or physical or moral integrity in a manner that cannot be averted with the passage of time shall be considered an imminent danger. Child protection centres shall periodically follow up on the procedures and results of implementing the measures taken concerning the child. They may, where appropriate, recommend reconsidering these measures and replacing or suspending them so as to ensure, as far as possible, that the child remains in his family environment and is not separated from it except as a resort Law Index 371 Home Page Child Rights Law Law No. 21 of 2015 Concerning Child Rights of last recourse, for the shortest possible period, and that he is returned to it at the earliest time.
