Article 4 of Copyright and Related Rights Law

The protection prescribed pursuant to this Law shall not apply to the following: 1 - Ideas, procedures, methods of work, methods of operation, mathematical concepts, principles, abstract facts, discoveries and data, even if expressed, described or illustrated in a work. 2 - Official texts of a legislative, administrative or judicial nature, as well as their translations. - News or daily events that constitute mere press information. - Holy scriptures and the scripts used in writing them, their graphic rendering, their recitation and recordings of their recitation. e - Speeches as well as pleadings made during judicial proceedings. 6 - Individual words, short phrases, lists of ingredients, and familiar symbols and designs. Protection shall apply to a compilation of the foregoing if its compilation is characterised by originality in arrangement, presentation or classification, without protecting the content presented.
