Article 126 of Environmental Protection Law

The publication and dissemination of erroneous news or information about the environmental situation in the country in all its components, which would cause panic or cast doubt on the quality of the environmental condition, is prohibited unless based on scientific facts, out of concern for the social matter and the standing of the State. (1) 127 Article All property owners in the State shall improve the condition of their properties by restoring them and modifying their façades so as to prevent visual pollution and improve the general appearance. The competent entity, in cooperation with the Authority, shall lay down detailed requirements in the Executive Regulations of this Law within one year from the date of issuance of this Law. The competent entity shall also implement the provisions of the Executive Regulations in this regard within three years from the date of their issuance. Part Seven Penalties (2) 128 Article Anyone who violates the provisions of Articles (16, 17, 18, 26, 126, 47) of this Law shall be punished by a fine of not less than five thousand dinars and not more than fifty thousand dinars. (3) 129 Article Anyone who violates the provisions of Articles (19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 43) of this Law shall be punished by imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years and a fine of not less than ten thousand dinars and not more than fifty thousand dinars, or by either of these two penalties.
