Article 54 of Environmental Protection Law

All entities and individuals, when conducting productive, service or other activities, particularly when operating machinery and equipment and using warning devices and loudspeakers, shall not exceed the permissible noise level limits, and it shall be in a place prepared for that purpose and shall not extend beyond it. Licensing authorities shall ensure the use of suitable machinery and equipment so that the aggregate sounds emitted from stationary sources in a single area are within the permissible limits. The Executive Regulations of this Law shall set out the permissible limits for sound intensity and the duration of exposure thereto.
