Article 8 of Environmental Protection Law

The Authority shall have a Director General appointed by decree with the rank of Undersecretary, from among specialists and persons experienced in environment-related fields, for a term of four years renewable for one similar term. He shall be responsible for implementing the Authority's decisions. The Director General shall represent the Authority before the courts and in its relations with third parties, and he may have one or more deputies appointed by decree.
