Article 11 of Family Court Law

The judge of interim matters at the Family Court, who shall be one of its judges assigned for that purpose, shall have jurisdiction to issue an order on petition in the following matters: a - Entitlement to the deferred dower. b - Interim maintenance, waiting-period maintenance and consolatory compensation. c - Disputes concerning visitation of the child in custody. d - Permission for the child in custody to travel outside the country and applications to prohibit such travel. e - Permission to obtain, renew and hand over a passport for the child in custody. f - Permission to obtain and hand over the birth certificate and civil identification card of the child in custody. g - Enrolment of the child in custody in government or private schools. h - Appointment of a judicial assistant pursuant to Article (107) of the Civil Code. i - Permission for the guardian or testamentary guardian to dispose of the minor's property in cases of necessity, subject to the restrictions in Articles (127) to (137) of the Civil Code. The order shall be issued in accordance with the procedures stipulated in Article (163) of the Civil and Commercial Procedure Law, and a grievance against it shall be filed in accordance with Article (146) of the same Law, except for orders issued in the matters specified in paragraphs (e) to (i) of this Article, grievances against which shall be brought before the Civil Circuit specified in Article Fourteen of this Law.
