Article 2 الثانيه of Family Court Law

The circuits of the Court of First Instance hearing personal status cases shall, of their own motion, refer pending actions that have come within the jurisdiction of the Family Court to the latter Court, in their existing state and without fees. If a litigant is absent, the Court Registry shall serve him with the referral order and require him to appear before the competent Family Court to which the action has been referred. Family Courts shall hear actions referred to them pursuant to the preceding paragraph without submitting them to the Family Dispute Settlement Centre stipulated in the accompanying Law. The provisions of the first paragraph shall not apply to actions in which judgment has been rendered or which have been adjourned for pronouncement of judgment. Judgments rendered in these actions shall remain subject to the rules governing methods of appeal in force before this Law enters into force.
