Article 3 of Family Court Law

The Family Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction to adjudicate all personal status disputes referred to in the second paragraph of Article (34) of the Civil and Commercial Procedure Law. Its jurisdiction shall encompass all Kuwaitis and non-Kuwaitis, whatever their religion or denomination, subject to the rules of international jurisdiction set forth in Articles (23) to (28) of that Law. Judgments rendered by the Family Court in matters of inheritance, bequests, endowments and dower shall be final if the value of the action does not exceed five thousand dinars.
