Article 22 of Law on the Practice of Medicine and Allied Health Professions

The physician must write the prescriptions, reports, and medical certificates that fall within his competence or that he is assigned to prepare clearly and accurately and in accordance with recognized professional standards Law Index 762 Home Page Law on the Practice of Medicine and Allied Professions Law No. 70 of 2020 Concerning the Practice of Medicine and Its Allied Professions, Patients’ Rights, and Health Facilities in the medical field, and he is prohibited from issuing a prescription, report, or medical certificate that is contrary to the truth. In all cases, he must record his name, capacity, professional level, the entity for which he works, and the date and time of issuance of the prescription, report, or medical certificate. He must affix his signature thereto, and a copy thereof shall be retained in the patient’s medical file.
