Article 21 of Law on the Practice of Medicine and Allied Health Professions

A physician may carry out all types of imaging required by the practice of medicine for the purpose of diagnosing or treating a patient or monitoring the patient's condition, provided that this is documented and retained in the patient's medical file or kept in any other secure place that preserves the patient's privacy and protects the confidentiality of the patient's data. A practitioner may carry out any type of imaging for education, documentation, research, scientific publication, exchange of expertise or information in the medical field, or health awareness, provided that express written consent is obtained from the patient, specifying the purpose and limits of use and publication, with due regard to not disclosing the patient's person and identity whenever there is no legitimate interest in doing so. Third parties are prohibited from photographing or filming the patient or practitioner while they are present at the health facility, for any reason and by any means, except after obtaining prior written consent from the patient or practitioner, on the one hand, and from the management of the health facility, on the other.
