Article 23 of Law on the Practice of Medicine and Allied Health Professions

All surgical operations or medical interventions shall, according to type, specialty and condition, be subject to the conditions, controls and standards determined by the Minister by decision as needed, after seeking the opinions of the heads of the competent departments in the government sector and consulting those working in the private sector in the same field. A practitioner of cosmetic surgery and interventions must perform them in accordance with his licensed specialty and be qualified to do so in accordance with the requirements and controls governing them, concerning which a special decision shall be issued by the Minister. In all cases, he must obtain the patient's informed consent in writing, accompanied by drawings, photographs, measurements and all documents relevant to what has been agreed to be performed. His obligation shall be to exercise diligent care.
