Article 28 of Law on the Practice of Medicine and Allied Health Professions

Every patient shall have an individual file at the health facility that provided treatment, consultation, service or healthcare, in which all information and data relating to the patient and the patient's health condition shall be documented. The file shall record the procedures, examinations and analyses performed on the patient, the results and diagnoses arising from them, the treatments and guidance received, the reviews and follow-ups carried out, as well as a statement of the permanent and temporary medical devices, equipment and instruments installed and used in the patient's body. The patient or the patient's legal representative has the right to request a detailed or summary medical report, according to the purpose of the report and within the limits of his coating, from the treating physician, the physician supervising the patient's condition, or the person assigned for that purpose by the facility's management. In this case, the physician shall provide the report based on the medical file, subject to a written request being submitted by the patient or the patient's legal representative to the facility's management. A copy of the report provided to the patient shall be retained in the medical file. The patient also has the right to request a copy of reports, examination or analysis results or treatments, as well as the patient's invoices and medical fees. The management of the health facility shall provide what has been requested. The Minister shall issue a decision specifying the fees and procedures governing the foregoing.
