Article 81 of Law on Combating Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances

The Minister may issue a decision suspending a practitioner of medicine or pharmacy, or practitioners of allied medical professions, from work, or suspending his licence to practise the profession, on a temporary basis not exceeding six months, if they are accused of committing any crime or violation relating to the procedures they must follow concerning their dealings in narcotic or psychotropic substances or preparations as set out in this Decree-Law, pending the issuance of a disciplinary decision, a decision to close the investigation, or a judgment, in final form, whichever is earlier. The Minister may also, if any of the aforementioned persons is convicted by a final judgment, or punished by a decision of the disciplinary authority, issue a decision prohibiting them from dispensing prescriptions for narcotic or psychotropic substances or preparations for a period not exceeding three years.
