Article 2 of Law on Combating Information Technology Crimes

Anyone who unlawfully accesses a computer, its system, an electronic data processing system, an automated electronic system or an information network shall be punished by imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months and a fine of not less than five hundred dinars and not exceeding two thousand dinars, or either of these two penalties. If such access results in cancellation, deletion, damage, destruction, disclosure, alteration or republication of data or information, the penalty shall be imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years and a fine of not less than two thousand dinars and not exceeding five thousand dinars, or either of these two penalties. If such data or information is personal, the penalty shall be imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years and a fine of not less than three thousand dinars and not exceeding ten thousand dinars, or either of these two penalties. Anyone who commits any of the offences stipulated above or facilitates it for others, where this occurs during or by reason of performing his duties, shall be punished by imprisonment for a term not exceeding five years and a fine of not less than three thousand dinars and not exceeding twenty thousand dinars, or either of these two penalties.
