Article 44 of Capital Markets Authority Law

In cases of disasters, crises, and disturbances that may create severely harmful effects in the market, as well as where some traders engage in misleading suggestions or signals, the Authority shall have the broadest powers to issue instructions aimed at restoring fairness, transparency, and efficiency to the market, and may, in particular, take any of the following measures: 1 - Suspend trading on the exchange, or in any listed security, for a temporary period. 2 - Cancel trading for a specified period or cancel transactions in a particular share. - Issue decisions to liquidate all or part of the balances or reduce them. h - Modify trading days and hours. Modify or suspend any of the exchange’s rules.
