A clearing agency means any legal entity that undertakes settlement and clearing between persons trading in securities with respect to payment or delivery or both, and provides the related services Law Index 1353 Home Page Capital Markets Authority Law Law No. 7 of 2010 concerning the Establishment of the Capital Markets Authority and the Regulation of Securities Activities including the service of depositing securities within a central system for the custody and transfer of ownership, or the service of a central counterparty for financial market transactions. The Authority may grant a licence for one or more of the services of a clearing agency.

يقصد بوكالة المقاصة أي كيان قانوني يتولى عملية التسوية والتقاص بين متداولي
الأوراق المالية فيما يتعلق بالدفع أو التسليم أو كلاهما، ويقوم بتوفير الخدمات الخاصة
بذلك ومنها خدمة إيداع الأوراق المالية ضمن نظام مركزي لحفظ ونقل الملكية أو
خدمة الوسيط المركزي لمعاملات الأسواق المالية.
