Article 13 of Amiri Decree No. 15 of 1959 concerning Kuwaiti Nationality

Kuwaiti nationality may be withdrawn, by decree upon the submission of the Minister of Interior, from a Kuwaiti who acquired Kuwaiti nationality, in the following cases: 1- If he was granted Kuwaiti nationality through fraud or forgery or on the basis of false statements. Kuwaiti nationality shall be withdrawn from anyone who acquired it with him derivatively. 2- If, after being granted Kuwaiti nationality, a final and conclusive judgment is rendered against him for an offence involving dishonour or breach of trust, an offence against the internal or external security of the State, or an offence of affronting the Divine Essence, the Prophets or the person of the Amir. 3- If he is disciplinarily dismissed from his government post for reasons relating to honour or trustworthiness within ten years of being granted Kuwaiti nationality. 4- If the supreme interests of the State or its external security so require. In this case, Kuwaiti nationality may be withdrawn from anyone who acquired it with him derivatively. 5- If the competent authorities have indications that he has promoted principles that would undermine the economic or social system of the country, or that he belongs to a foreign political organization. In this case, Kuwaiti nationality may be withdrawn from anyone who acquired it with him derivatively.
