Article 21 مكرر ب of Amiri Decree No. 15 of 1959 concerning Kuwaiti Nationality

Any person who provides incorrect information to the administrative authorities competent to verify Kuwaiti nationality or to the committees formed for this purpose, whether to establish Kuwaiti nationality 1( The second paragraph was added pursuant to Decree-Law No. 116 of 2024 The Law for himself or for another, or to facilitate its acquisition in accordance with the provisions of this Law, and whether the information was provided orally or in writing, and who has not been shown to have made a reasonable effort to ascertain the accuracy of the information he provided, shall be punished by imprisonment for a term not exceeding three years and a fine not exceeding two hundred dinars, or by either of these two penalties. If he provided the aforementioned information knowing that it was incorrect, the penalty shall be imprisonment for a term not exceeding seven years, to which a fine not exceeding five hundred dinars may be added.
