Article 7 of Amiri Decree No. 15 of 1959 concerning Kuwaiti Nationality

A foreigner's acquisition of Kuwaiti nationality shall not result in his wife becoming Kuwaiti. His minor children shall be considered Kuwaitis and may declare their choice of their original nationality during the year following their attainment of the age of majority. The provisions of the preceding article shall apply to the children if they retain Kuwaiti nationality. As for the children of a naturalized person born after his acquisition of Kuwaiti nationality, they shall be considered Kuwaitis by origin. This provision shall apply to those among them born before this Law came into force.
