Article 5 of Decree-Law No. 13 of 2026 concerning Safeguarding and Protecting the Supreme Interests of Military Entities

Documents, papers, instruments, correspondence, information, data, maps, drawings, photographs, and recording tapes of any kind relating to military matters and originating from the military sector or the civilian sector within military authorities shall be considered confidential. They may not be published, their contents or substance disclosed, or circulated by any means of publication or publicity. Anyone connected with those documents by virtue of his office, work, or capacity is prohibited from retaining them for himself, copying them, recording all or part of their contents by any means, or handing them a copy thereof to others.
