Article 25 of Decree-Law No. 47 of 2026 concerning Combating Terrorist Crimes

The Committee shall be competent for the following: 1. Coordinating efforts among all relevant entities in the State to implement national and international obligations relevant to its field of work. 2. Working to achieve the objectives set out in international conventions concerned with combating terrorism to which the State has acceded or which it has ratified. . Raising awareness of the risks of terrorism and strengthening society's contribution to confronting them. 4. Preparing and supervising a national strategy for combating terrorism and states of terrorist dangerousness, and following up its implementation procedures, in coordination with the various relevant entities in the State. h. Examining local, regional and international decisions, reports and assessments relating to combating terrorism, and making the necessary recommendations thereon through preparing local, regional and international reports and responses relating to combating terrorism. 6. Preparing a periodic statistical statement on terrorist-act offences and states of terrorist dangerousness, recording their data in a special register established for this purpose, preparing reports on cases presented, and proposing what is necessary concerning them. . Preparing periodic or requested statistics relating to combating terrorism and proposing appropriate measures in this regard.
