The basis for holders of the special posts of the Legal Department of Kuwait Municipality, or those appointed therein to general-cadre posts, to benefit pursuant to Civil Service Council Decision No. 3 of 1983, as amended by Decision No. 8 of 2002, is their being in service in the Department on 1/4/2002. Its provisions do not apply to anyone whose service ended or who was transferred out of it before that date, or who joined it thereafter. In the latter case, the appointee or transferee is subject to the rules prescribed for appointment or transfer to the Legal Department. Example.
