Judicial principle — Kuwait Court of Cassation

Kuwait Court of Cassation principle number 294

State of Kuwait · Pleadings — Part Two · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

The relative effect of litigation procedures. This means that an appeal benefits only the person who filed it and may be invoked only against the person against whom it was filed, and that the failure of some judgment debtors to appeal has no effect on an appeal validly filed by others. Exceptions to this. - Failure by a person whom the court directed to join the person jointly and severally liable with him under the judgment. Its effect. Inadmissibility of the appeal.
