Kuwait Court of Cassation principle number 4055

State of Kuwait · Commercial and Labour — Volume 9 · Ministry of Justice — Court of Cassation — Technical Office

English translation of the principle

The basis of the employer’s obligation to pay wages is the worker’s being subject to his orders and devoting effort to him, so long as he is ready for it, even if prevented from doing so by a cause attributable to the employer. What suffices for the cause of prevention to be considered attributable to the employer. An example.
