Article 112 of Civil Code

1 - If the minor is Kuwaiti, and guardianship over his property is not vested in his father, or in the testamentary guardian chosen by his father or his grandfather, guardianship over his property shall vest in the Department of Minors' Affairs, in accordance with the provisions of the law, unless the court appoints another guardian for him. 2 - The court may, at any time and upon the application of any interested person, appoint another guardian in place of the Department of Minors' Affairs if it considers this to be in the minor's interest.
