English translation
If the debtor owes several debts to a single creditor, of the same kind, and what the debtor pays does not satisfy all these debts, the debtor may, upon payment, designate the debt he wishes to discharge, unless a legal or contractual impediment prevents such designation.

إذا تعددت الديون في ذمة المدين وكانت لدائن واحد ومن جنس واحد وكان ما
أداه المدين لا يفي بهذه الديون جميعا, جاز للمدين عند الوفاء أن يعين الدين الذي
