English translation
If the debt that has been paid is not designated in the manner set out in Article 408, the deduction shall be made against the debt that has fallen due. If several debts are due, it shall be made against the one most burdensome to the debtor. If the debts are equally burdensome, it shall be made against the debt designated by the creditor.

إذا لم يعين الدين الذي تم الوفاء به على الوجه المبين في المادة ٤٠٨, كان الخصم من
حساب الدين الذي حل, فإذا تعددت الديون الحالة فمن حساب أشدها كلفة
