Article 445 of Civil Code

1 - The period prescribed for barring the hearing of an action shall begin to run only from the day on which (1) Amended by Decree-Law No. 4 of 2025 Law Index 1001 Home Page Civil Code Decree-Law No. 67 of 1980 AD Promulgating the Civil Code the debt becomes due for payment, unless the law provides otherwise. 2 - If determination of the date of payment depends on the creditor's will, the period shall begin to run from the time the obligation arises.
