Article 671 of Civil Code

1 - If execution of the work requires the employer to render a specified performance and he fails to do so at the appropriate time, the contractor may require him to perform within a reasonable period specified by the contractor. - If the period expires without the employer fulfilling his obligation, the contractor may request rescission of the contract, without prejudice to his right to compensation where warranted.
