Article 702 of Civil Code

1 - A special mandate is required for every disposition that is not an act of administration, particularly gratuitous dispositions, sale, settlement, mortgage, acknowledgment, and arbitration, as well as tendering an oath and pleading before the courts. 2 - A special mandate for a particular type of legal disposition shall be valid even if the subject matter of that disposition is not specifically designated, unless the disposition is gratuitous.
