Article 759 of Civil Code

1 - If there are multiple sureties under a single contract securing the same debt and the same debtor, and they are not jointly and severally liable among themselves, the debt shall be divided equally among them unless the contract specifies the amount secured by each. 2 - If the sureties undertake their obligations under successive contracts, each shall be liable for the entire debt unless he reserves the benefit of division.
