English translation
At its first sitting, and for a term equal to its own, the National Assembly shall choose a Speaker and Deputy Speaker from among its members. If either position becomes vacant, the Assembly shall choose a replacement until the end of its term. Election shall in all cases be by an absolute majority of those present. If this majority is not attained on the first occasion, the election shall be repeated between the two obtaining the most votes. If another person ties with the second of them in the number of votes, he shall participate with them in the second election. In this case, election shall be by relative majority. If more than one person ties in obtaining the relative majority, selection among them shall be by lot. The oldest member shall preside over the first sitting until the Speaker is elected.

يختار مجلس الأمة في أول جلسة له، ولمثل مدته، رئيسًا ونائب رئيس من بين
أعضائه، وإذا خلا مكان أحد منهما ، اختار المجلس من يحل محله إلى نهاية مدته
ويكون الانتخاب في جميع الأحوال بالأغلبية المطلقة للحاضرين، فإن لم تتحقق
هذه الأغلبية في المرة الأولى أعيد الانتخاب بين الاثنين الحائزين لأكثر الأصوات
فإن تساوى مع ثانيهما غيره في عدد الأصوات اشترك معهما في انتخاب المرة الثانية،
ويكون الانتخاب في هذه الحالة بالأغلبية النسبية فإن تساوى أكثر من واحد في
الحصول على الأغلبية النسبية تم الاختيار بينهم بالقرعة.
