Article 29 of Law No. 12 of 1963 concerning the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly

If the office of the Speaker of the Assembly or the Deputy Speaker becomes vacant for any reason, the Assembly shall select a replacement within three weeks from the date of the vacancy if the Assembly is in a session Index of the Law 57 Home Page Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly Law No. 12 of 1963 concerning the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly of sitting, and within the first week of the Assembly's meeting if the vacancy occurs during the recess.
