Article 47 of Law No. 12 of 1963 concerning the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly

The Assembly’s committees may, through the Presidency of the Assembly, request from ministries, departments and public institutions the information and documents they consider necessary to study a matter referred to them. These ministries, departments and institutions shall provide the requested information and documents in sufficient time for the committee to examine them before preparing its report.
