English translation
If the court convicts the accused, it may, of its own motion, order him to pay compensation for the damage resulting from the offence, if the judgment creditor undertakes not to claim any other compensation for the same offence. The court may, upon the application of the convicted person, order payment of the compensation in instalments. If the convicted person fails to pay the amount of compensation and execution against his property is not possible, the court may, if it finds that he has the ability to pay, order, upon the application of Index of the Law 191 Home Page Code of Criminal Procedure and Trials Law No. 17 of 1960 promulgating the Code of Criminal Procedure and Trials the judgment creditor, that he be subjected to coercive imprisonment for a period not exceeding three months, without his liability for compensation being discharged in any way. If he requests to be put to work instead of being subjected to coercive imprisonment, the judgment creditor shall be given the proceeds of the work, and the convicted person's liability for compensation shall be discharged to the extent of the amount given to the judgment creditor.

يجوز للمحكمة، إذا ادانت المتهم ان تلزمه من تلقاء نفسها بدفع تعويض عن
الاضرار التي ترتبت على الجريمة، إذا تعهد المحكوم له بالا يطالب بأي تعويض
آخر عن الجريمة ذاتها. وللمحكمة، بناء على طلب المحكوم عليه، ان تأمر بأداء
التعويض على اقساط . وإذا لم يدفع المحكوم عليه مبلغ التعويض، ولم يتيسر التنفيذ
به على ماله، جاز للمحكمة، إذا تبين لها قدرته على الدفع، ان تأمر، بناء على طلب
المحكوم له بإخضاعه للإكراه البدني مدة لا تزيد على ثلاثة أشهر، دون ان تبرأ
ذمته من التعويض اطلاقا. واذ طلب تشغيله بدلا من اخضاعه للإكراه البدني،
اعطى المحكوم له ريع العمل، وبرئت ذمة المحكوم عليه من التعويض بمقدار
