Article 216 of Code of Criminal Procedure and Trials

The president of the court that rendered the enforceable judgment shall send that judgment to the authority that instituted the criminal proceedings. That authority shall send it to the police and public security to take the measures necessary to execute the judgment and notify the president of the court that rendered the judgment when the execution procedures have been completed. The president of the court must be notified of the reasons for delay if execution is delayed for a period exceeding one week from the date the judgment was rendered. )2(
