Article 230 of Personal Status Law

English translation

A bequest becomes binding upon its acceptance by the legatee, expressly or by implication, after the testator's death. If the legatee is a fetus, a minor or a person under interdiction, acceptance and rejection of the bequest shall be by the person having guardianship over his property, who may reject it after obtaining the court's permission. Acceptance on behalf of entities, institutions and establishments shall be by their legal representative. If they have no representative, the bequest shall become binding without being dependent upon acceptance.
