Article 323 of Personal Status Law

English translation

a- Of the third class of distant kindred, those nearest to the deceased in degree have priority in inheritance. b- If they are equal in degree, and some are children of a residuary heir and others are children of distant kindred, the former shall take priority over the latter. Otherwise, those with the strongest kinship to the deceased shall take priority: one whose ascendant is related through both parents has priority over one whose ascendant is related through the father, and one whose ascendant is related through the father has priority over one whose ascendant is related through the mother. If they are equal in degree and strength of kinship, they shall share in the inheritance.
