Article 42 of Bankruptcy Law

In the cases referred to in the preceding Article, the trustee may, with permission from the Bankruptcy Judge issued after hearing the debtor’s statements or notifying it, enter into a settlement or accept arbitration in every dispute relating to the debtor’s assets or business, waive the debtor’s right, and acknowledge a third party’s right.
